What brought you to the CTG UAlbany?

I am an information science Ph.D. student at UAlbany with a primary concentration in Information government and democratic society and a second concentration in data analytics.

During my study, I have taken several courses with researchers from CTG UAlbany and also collaborate with them on some research projects, including emergency management, open data, online petition, and etc.

CTG UAlbany researchers have a passion and wisdom that inspire me and attracted me to join CTG UAlbany. The IMLS project that I am involved in will provide me with a brand new angle to research the development of smart cities and help me get more insight knowledge about public libraries in the United States and its role in the implementation of smart cities initiatives.

What did you do prior to coming to CTG UAlbany?

With a master degree in communication, I am working on my Ph.D. in information science at UAlbany.

As a graduate assistant, I have been teaching undergraduate students how to conduct academic research since summer 2016.

What are your plans/goals for the future?

Fulfill my dissertation within two years and continue to work on issues related to information technology, organization and people in the academic or industrial environment.

How can CTG UAlbany help you reach your goal for the future?

At CTG UAlbany, I am able to collaborate with more researchers and conduct more applied researches to help improve government and public service through technology innovation, policy refinement and management improvement.

All these experience will improve my research ability and help me well prepared for my own dissertation and future research.
