What brought you to the CTG UAlbany?
I worked with CTG as a first year PhD student and had a great experience during my independent study with CTG. Now, as a doctoral candidate, I am excited to work as a graduate assistant and further contributing to the work of CTG.
What did you do prior to coming to CTG UAlbany?
Prior to CTG UAlbany, I was working in the public art sector as an independent art consultant. Visuals have always been an important component to the community- lead work that I champion professionally. Applying those interests to research is a natural next step.
What are your plans/goals for the future?
As it pertains to the more recent future, I plan to conduct research about the impact of visuals on user experience and satisfaction. Upon receipt of my Doctoral degree in Information Science, I look forward to applying those findings to professional practice such as management and policy positions in private and public sector organizations that focus on the relationship between information and the public, and which prioritize people- centered community development.
How can CTG UAlbany help you reach your goal for the future?
CTG UAlbany has been helpful in my achieving my future goals in that the lab has been considerably welcoming as well as supportive of my research interests. Additionally, I appreciate the structured work environment that CTG UAlbany has provided, and the time invested in aiding me in my pursuit to expand my research capabilities.
