What brought you to the CTG UAlbany?
As a first year PhD student, I was intrigued by the work that CTG UAlbany was conducting and interested in contributing to the continuation of that work.
What did you do prior to coming to CTG UAlbany?
Prior to CTG UAlbany, I was working in the public art sector as an independent art consultant. Visuals have always been an important component to the community-led work that I champion professionally. Applying those interests to research is a natural next step.
What are your plans/goals for the future?
As it pertains to the more recent future, I plan to conduct research about the impact of visuals on user experience and satisfaction. Upon receipt of my Doctoral degree in Information Science, I look forward to applying those findings to professional practice such as management and policy positions in private and public sector organizations that focus on the relationship between information and the public and which prioritize people-centered community development.
How can CTG UAlbany help you reach your goal for the future?
CTG UAlbany has been helpful in my achieving my future goals in that the lab has been considerably welcoming as well as supportive of my research interests. Additionally, I appreciate the structured work environment that CTG UAlbany has provided and the time invested in aiding me in my pursuit to expand my research capabilities.
