1. What brought you to CTG UAlbany?
I am currently a graduate student at UAlbany pursuing a master's degree in computer science from the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. My areas of interest include computer vision, data science, machine learning, deep learning and artificial intelligence.
The Center for Technology in Government is actively working on projects which are aligned in these domains. Working at CTG UAlbany will help me have some real-time project experience. Here, I will get an opportunity to practically apply and implement my knowledge and skills.
2. What did you do prior to coming to CTG UAlbany?
Prior to coming to UAlbany, I completed my bachelor's in technology degree in computer science & engineering in 2020, from Shiv Nadar University, UP, India. After that, I worked as a software engineer at Cognizant Technology Solutions, India for about a year.
3. What are your plans/goals for the future?
My goal is to complete my master's degree and gain in-depth knowledge in the field of computer vision. I would like to gain some hands-on experience while working on live/real-time projects.
Later, in my professional career, I would like to work as a data scientist in research and development.
In today’s world data, plays a very significant role in understanding the root causes of any problem pertaining to all industries.
Therefore, I desire to design and invent new algorithms for data analysis, better than currently existing algorithms. The precise study of data can help us reduce the waste of resources, time and money.
4. How can CTG UAlbany help you reach your goal for the future?
CTG is working on innovative projects, with the latest technologies like AWS, Docker, React framework, MongoDB, etc. Working with this technology stack will help me in my professional growth.
Here at CTG, I will get an opportunity to learn from and work under the guidance of a highly experienced group of people.
