Aug. 5, 2008

GTC East Program CoverGTC East is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year, holding its yearly event September 22-25 at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, NY. GTC East is an opportunity to connect with government and industry leaders, gain skills and insights that will make those next steps possible, discover new technologies, and be inspired by the remarkable keynote speakers.

As in year’s past, CTG will have a booth at the Government Solutions Center at GTC East. We invite all attendees to stop by and find out more about CTG. We will be showcasing and highlighting the many projects and partnerships we have conducted over the years in New York State, along with providing information on current NYS projects and practical guides and resources.

In addition, Anthony Cresswell, CTG interim director and member of the GTC East Advisory Board, will be participating as a speaker at the GTC East CIO Academy. His session, “Combining IT Governance and Portfolio Management to Create a Results-Oriented Organization,” will focus on IT governance and portfolio management principles as keys to conducting projects that map to an organization’s mission and are delivered on time and within budget.

Meghan Cook, CTG program manager, will be one of three instructors for the Procurement in the Empire State training session on Thursday, September 25th along with Ruth Walters, president and Arthur Brown, senior vice president of The Walters Group. The session is designed specifically for the New York State public buyer and focuses on best practices for those involved in the procurement of IT products and services.
