Dec. 23, 2008

NYSLGIDTA meetingMembers of the New York State Local Government IT Directors Association (NYSLGITDA) board participating in a strategic planning exercise.

Meghan Cook, program manager at CTG, and Anna Raup-Kounovsky, program staff assistant, facilitated a strategic planning session with the board members of the New York State Local Government IT Directors Association (NYSLGITDA) during their Fall 2008 conference in Syracuse, New York. The two half-day sessions were designed to help them consider the future direction of the Association. The sessions focused on three main topics: the board’s goals for the Association in the next five years, initiatives currently underway to support the identified goals, and future activities that could help the Association achieve those goals. The final day concluded with a set of actionable items for the board to pursue over the course of the next two years.

CTG prepared a strategic planning workshop report, which is available on the NYSLGITDA Web site.

In addition to the strategic planning workshop with the NYSLGITDA board, Meghan Cook also made a presentation to the Association’s general membership about practical methods for IT strategic planning.
