Albany, NY - Demonstrating how the government can help deliver services to people through the smart management of electronic records is the goal of CTG's "Gateways to the Past, Present, and Future" project.
To fulfill that goal, CTG has chosen to work with the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) on the first "Gateways" project. OTDA, which oversees the state's homeless service and shelter program, is creating an integrated information system that will enable the agency to make more informed policy decisions and help local service facilities to deliver better services to the homeless population.
OTDA is working with CTG and the New York State Archives to develop a prototype information resource that will draw upon data from existing case management systems and use technology to enable decision-makers to manage and evaluate temporary housing and service programs for homeless families and single adults. The prototype should be complete by the fall.
