Greg Potter is the Local Area Network Technician in Information Technology at the Trumansburg Central School District where he is responsible for oversight of the successful function of a network system for the Central School District.
Greg retired as the Director of Information Technology Services for Tompkins County and during his tenure there, he was recognized for his innovative leadership in shared services within Tompkins and surrounding Counties. Under his leadership, the County IT Team has become widely respected in all areas of County Government including Public Safety, Public Health, Mental Health and Electronic Records Management.
As a multi-year recipient of the Center for Digital Government Top Digital County of the Year Award, Potter was inducted into the New York Information Technology Hall of Fame in 2015.
Prior to his time as Director of ITS for Tompkins County, Greg worked in the fields of GIS and Community Development in Colorado.
Potter holds a B.A. in Environmental Design and a M.A. in Public Administration, both from the University of Colorado.
