Brief Bio

Jie Huang is PhD candidate at School of Information Resource Management of Renmin University of China (RUC), and a research assistant at Smart City Research Center of RUC. She is also an ITU-T registered expert and ISO/IEC JTC1 SC44 registered expert, developing international standards related to information technology in smart cities, data processing and management in IoT & smart cities and communities, and terminology and definitions for metaverse. Her main research interests cover the field of smart cities and digital government.

She is currently working in six international standards projects and has undertaken secretarial work in them, as well as four national level research projects related to data governance and data use.

She has been contributed to several Chinese National Standards and has published 11 academic papers in Chinese. She received certificate and scholarship for Academic Excellence awarded by RUC in 2022 and Best Chinese Paper Award of iconference awarded by iSchool in 2021.
