Brief Bio

Lorenza Querini is a PhD student at the Department of Management, Economics, and Industrial Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Economics and Management of the Arts at Università Cattolica in Milan. She is part of the management engineering research group that investigates the renovation of public services through digital technologies. 

Her research focuses on the implementation of digital transformation projects in public service institutions and the contribution of such initiatives to value co-creation. More precisely, her thesis examines the specific context of public museums and the management of the cultural sector by government institutions, investigating the tensions between technological innovation and traditional mission in the cultural public sector. 

Research in Albany

Lorenza’s visiting period in Albany is aimed at expanding her research on museums by investigating their role as anchor institutions within the context of smart cities through a comparative analysis between the U.S. and Italy.
