Dr. Sandoval-Almazan works as an Associate Professor at the Political Sciences and Social Sciences Department in the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico. He holds the National Research Level II position in the Mexican National Research Science Ministry. He became a member of the Mexican Academy of Science in 2018. Dr. Sandoval-Almazan has authored or co-authored articles in scholarly journals on the field of information technology and government. Since 2020, he has been leading the i-Lab Mexico. His research focuses on artificial intelligence in government, social media platforms for government, metrics for digital government, and open government.
